The 4X4ATV Club offers members access to exclusive club events throughout the year.

Deon Kok takes charge of our 4x4 Break Away excursions and he really puts time and effort into the planning of these trips. Not only will you be treated to the element of your 4x4 in an off-road environment, you will also visit places and people that you would normally drive past without exploring the hidden treasures beyond a turn-off.

Many events presented are hosted at our official camp site at Rust de Winter. Feel free to explore our "rdw" page for information on these events and the camp itself.

Our ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING is scheduled for the 23rd March 2017 and all members are urged to attend this meeting. It is important to get the input from our members on club related issues.

4x4 Driver Training is available to members. Please visit our "rdw" page to find out more about the scheduled sessions and related accreditation.

27th April to 1st May 2017 - The famous TOYOTA 4X4 JAMBOREE is our club's main annual event - explore the do's and dont's regarding this event on our "jamboree" page.

Our club will participate in a 4X4 SOCIAL CLUB DAY. This annual event had a competative element in the past but lately it's turned into a fun day where all 4x4 clubs socialize around their 4x4's. The day presents interesting 4x4 obstacle driving and usually ends in a "bring & braai" function...

In 2016 our club turned 40 and on the 15th October 2016
we had a special event to celebrate the occasion.

Our Year End Function is scheduled for the 25th November 2017 when we can relax and just interact with fellow club members through a social get-together.

Not forgetting our little club members, we will have our Christmas Function at Rust de Winter. Father Christmas normally goes out of his way to visit us on this day...
everyone who's been good during the year gets presents!!!

Have a look at our calender and feel free to contact
Peter Claasen on 082 558 6184 if you need any information on any event listed.

Rust de Winter Kersboom Funksie

Welcome to all serious and social participants of mountain bike challenges! This year we will again be hosting the Rust De Winter Mountain Bike Challenge on the 19th November. This has become one of the favoured events on the mountain biking calender and our venue offers, besides the challenge of the route, a nice opportunity to break away from the city for the weekend. Should you want to sleep over the night before or even after the event, there are camp sites available at R50.00 per person per night. You are more than welcome to bring along the whole family or even your personal team of supporters... When you arrive at our gate, just pay for your stay and Albert will give you directions on available camp sites for the weekend. No need to book in advance. Please visit our camp page for more information you might need regarding the camp and it's facilities. On this page, you will also find directions to the camp. Please note: Bring your own drinking water for camping as the water in the camp is not safe for drinking.

For those who do not want to rough it, chalets are available at Buffelsdrift, a mere 2 Km from the Camp. Please feel free to book a chalet with Donald. See their Website for more details:

See below for the elevation profiles of the three routes. The 65Km route is an extremely challenging route that is very technical as it winds through the mountains near Rust de Winter. The views from this route are breath taking. The 35Km is the training route for the above and has two technical sections. At about the 19Km mark the route enters a game park that abounds with game. There is a stiff climb of 3Km and then a relaxing decent of about 6Km. The 10Km route stays on the level roads and is not technical at all. This one is famous for the fun part of mountain biking and every year we have a bunch of kids entering - some serious future bikers and some just to join mom and / or dad in their activities for the day.

For more info regarding this event and what will be available on the day, please contact Deon Kok on 082 920 6103 or via e-mail: For your convenience, you may also enter on line.

This is a sponsored event and prizes will be handed to "worthy" participants. Make contact with Deon via e-mail and he will gladly sent you a copy of our flyer with all pertaining detail on this event.
